Before the birth
Side-lying, with pillows where you want them.
For the months you are expecting, with your doctor or midwife's go-ahead.
You lie on your side on a table padded with pillows for your head, belly and knees. We work the back, hips and shoulders at the pressure you choose, and we stop to change sides or settle a pillow whenever you like.
Side-lying the whole session
A sheet over you, always
Sessions of 45, 60 or 90 minutes

What to expect
A table set up around you
Pillows first
Head, belly and knees each get a pillow before we begin, and we add more if you ask.
Changing sides
Halfway through we pause, turn the sheet and settle you on the other side.
The pressure you set
Lighter or firmer, at any point. Say it and we change.
Rest at the end
A few quiet minutes before you sit up, and water within reach.
Questions about prenatal sessions
Do I need to ask my doctor or midwife first?
Yes, please ask before you book, and tell your therapist what they said. We go ahead with your provider's say-so, and we do not diagnose.
What if I feel unwell during a session?
Tell us at once. We stop, help you sit up and bring you water, and you can end the session whenever you want.
Can someone come with me?
Yes, to wait with you. The room is small, so a partner, a parent or a friend waits in the lobby during the session.
Do you use oils or scents?
An unscented oil or lotion, unless you ask for a scent. Tell us about any allergy when you book and we will use something else.
